Job summary

The Terraces at Westminster is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. This full-time role covers 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am shifts, with every other weekend required, and offers daily pay options to support our staff.

As a PCA, you will assist licensed caregivers, help with daily living activities, keep rooms tidy, respond to call bells, and provide companionship to residents while upholding our values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence in a warm, home-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification/license in Maryland required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed and certified staff in providing resident care.
• Make beds and maintain tidy resident rooms.
• Ensure call bells and bed controls are within reach.
• Assist with serving drinks, snacks, and meals following guidelines.
• Provide companionship and socialization to residents.
• Answer phones and assist nursing staff with communications.
• Maintain cleanliness of care areas.
• Support residents with comfort-focused tasks.

Responsibilities for Personal Care Assistant (PCA):

• Assist licensed and certified staff in providing quality resident care and support.


• Make beds and maintain tidy, organized resident rooms.


• Ensure call bells, bed controls, and essential items are within the resident's reach.


• Assist with serving drinks, snacks, and meals in accordance with facility guidelines.


• Provide companionship and socialization to support emotional well-being and engagement.


• Answer phones and assist nursing staff with communication needs as directed.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident care areas as assigned.


• Support residents with comfort-focused tasks to enhance their daily living experience.

Qualifications for Personal Care Assistant (PCA):

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Current CNA certification/license in the state of Maryland required.
