Job summary

Wallick Senior Living in Toledo, Ohio is seeking a Part-time Personal Care Assistant to deliver compassionate care on the night shift (11pm-7am).

You will help residents with daily activities, hygiene, mobility, and social engagement while ensuring a safe, respectful, and dignified living environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a patient-centered approach.

Competitive pay at $16/hour plus shift differential, with benefits available after orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Organized and self-motivated to provide quality resident care.
• CPR certification is required or a plus; Nurse Aide not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal care and daily resident assistance.
• Assist with hygiene, bathing, and grooming.
• Respond to call lights promptly and address resident/family needs.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and accompany to events.
• Assist residents to and from activities, dining rooms, and events.
• Lifting, turning, and repositioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAsprovide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning by helping them thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose. You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming to include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’s and / or family needs.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organized and self‑motivated to do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
