Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to assist clients with daily activities and health-related tasks. The role includes support with mobility, hygiene and essential care per a care plan, plus companionship to promote independence.

Responsibilities include coordinating with home, school and local health resources, reporting changes, and performing related duties. Requires state licensure as needed, 1 year experience preferred, and 18+ age with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state.
• One year relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS card and health screenings as required.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Ability to coordinate between home, school and local resources.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficient in information exchange.
• Must be at least 18 years old; computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and related support.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Performs incidental household services as part of a care plan.
• Provides companionship through reading, listening and conversation.
• Supports independent skills through self-care activities.
• Reports changes in client status as directed by care plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.
