About the role

We are seeking Direct Care workers to provide a range of in-home support services to clients requiring assistance, helping frail older adults, people with disabilities, and their carers to maintain independence and support living at home and in the community.

Direct Care workers offer domestic assistance, respite, and personal care in a respectful, flexible, and client-focused manner, working with clients and carers to enhance independence and quality of life.

Location

This role is based in and around Caulfield, South Yarra, and Glen Huntly. We are currently hiring for other areas, so please apply for your preferred location.

Ideal Candidate

• A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• Current First Aid Level 2
• Understanding of issues facing carers, people with disabilities, and older adults living independently
• Awareness of specific client care needs
• Knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Quality Standards of Care, and the Aged Care Code of Conduct and Charter
• Experience in Person-Centred Care (PCC)
• Full driver’s license and reliable vehicle
