Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors Atlanta Southwest is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to provide non-medical personal care and daily living support to older adults in Union City, GA. This is a part-time, in-home, one-on-one role; you will follow an established service plan and work independently in clients' homes.

Responsibilities include assistance with bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, vitals, documentation, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to client homes.
• Ability to work independently in a client’s home.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training opportunities may be available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, showering, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning, gait belts, and mobility devices.
• Provide continence and personal hygiene assistance.
• Assist with eating, nutrition, and hydration; prepare and serve meals.
• Observe and report changes in condition, safety risks, or other concerns.
• Take and record vital signs when assigned and trained.
• Provide medication reminders within the PCA scope of practice.
• Offer companionship and safety supervision.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.
• Provide transportation or escort assistance when assigned.
• Follow infection-control and safety procedures; report incidents.
