Seniors Helping Seniors Atlanta Southwest provides non-medical home care for older adults in their Peachtree City area. A Personal Care Assistant works one-on-one in clients' homes following a service plan and duties. This is an in-person role requiring independence, reliability, and compassionate hands-on assistance as assigned.

The position offers part-time hours with potential for additional shifts, mileage reimbursement, CPR and First Aid training, and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience caring for older adults is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred.
• Must complete required onboarding and screenings in GA.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support ambulation, transfers, and mobility as needed.
• Meal preparation and hydration per care plan.
• Record and report changes in condition and vital signs when trained.

Seniors Helping Seniors Atlanta SouthwestPeachtree City, GA 30269Pay: $15-$17 per hourJob Type: Part-time with opportunities for additional hoursSchedule: Flexible shifts generally ranging from 3-12 hours based on client needs and caregiver availabilityAbout the PositionSeniors Helping Seniors Atlanta Southwest is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to provide non-medical personal care and daily living support to older adults in their homes in the Peachtree City area.This is an in-person home care position. Personal Care Assistants work one-on-one with clients according to an established service plan and assigned duties.We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, comfortable working independently in a client's home, and able to provide respectful hands-on assistance when assigned.ResponsibilitiesDepending on the client's service plan and your demonstrated competency, responsibilities may include:Assist with bathing, showering, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toileting.Assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and approved mobility devices.Provide continence and personal hygiene assistance.Assist with eating, nutrition, and hydration.Prepare meals based on the client's needs and service plan.Observe and promptly report changes in condition, skin concerns, safety risks, or other client concerns.Take and record vital signs when assigned and trained to do so.Provide medication reminders within the permitted Personal Care Assistant role.Provide companionship and safety supervision.Perform light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, and basic home-management tasks.Provide transportation or escort assistance when assigned.Follow infection-control, hand-hygiene, and safety procedures.Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow incident-reporting procedures.Document services, client status, and concerns accurately and on time.Follow the client's service plan and remain within the Personal Care Assistant scope of practice.These duties closely track the competencies SHS evaluates for PCA assignments, including personal care, transfers, bathing, toileting, dressing, eating assistance and mobility. Your current evaluation also covers meal preparation, skin observation, vital signs, medication reminders, home management and transportation when assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license.Reliable transportation to client homes.Automobile insurance when driving is part of the assignment.Ability to work independently in a client's home.Ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, supervisors, and office staff.Ability to follow written service plans and document care accurately.Previous experience caring for older adults is preferred.CNA, PCA, HHA, or related caregiving experience is a plus.CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
