Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring Companion Caregivers to provide in-home support for patients/clients in their residences. You will help with socialization, light exercise, medication reminders, and safety supervision during daily activities.

The role requires compassionate, reliable individuals who communicate well with clients and supervisors. Duties include meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping assistance, and observing infection control.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred.
• Ability to perform tasks professionally and follow boundaries.
• Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills preferred.
• Strong communication with clients and supervisors preferred.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provides socialization and encourages mild exercise.
• Reminds and assists with medication as directed.
• Supervises safety during bathing, toileting, and dressing.
• Assists with grocery shopping and light housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.
• Arrives on time and completes shift as scheduled.
• Follows infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• 'Hands on' care includes meal preparation, feeding, personal hygiene, and ambulation assistance.

Pay: $18.57 per hour - $21 per hour

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring Companion Caregivers to provide services to patients/clients in their places of residence.

Responsibilities:

• Provides “hands off” care such as:
• Providing and encouraging socialization
• Encouraging a mild exercise program
• Encouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
• Supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
• Assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
• Arrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
• Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner
• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
• 'Hands on care' include but are not limited to the following: Meal preparation, feeding, assistance with personal hygiene, and ambulation assistance

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred
• Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred
• Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Computer proficiency required
