Job summary

Golden Years In-Home Senior Care seeks a dedicated HCA to join our Escondido, CA team as a full-time Home Care Aide. You will provide personal care, mobility assistance, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship to seniors in their homes.

This non-medical caregiving role requires current HCA registration with the California Department of Social Services, a TB test, and a background check. CPR/First Aid is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have HCA registration with California DSS.
• TB test current (within 24 months).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
• Pass a background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to assist with mobility aids and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning for safety.
• Offer medication reminders and assist with appointments.
• Light housekeeping: laundry, meals, clean environment.
• Engage in activities to promote social interaction and well-being.
• Monitor and report changes to supervisors.
• Provide companionship and a caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to seniors, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
• Offer medication reminders and assist with client appointments.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
• Engage in activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition to supervisors.
• Provide companionship and ensure a caring, supportive environment.
