Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of New Haven and the Shoreline is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide in-home support in the New Haven County area. Travel between client locations is required.

The role offers an hourly rate of $18-$20 with weekly pay and a 401k plan, supporting daily living activities while maintaining professionalism and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year PCA or related healthcare experience.
• Must own a reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel to multiple client locations in New Haven area.
• Negative TB test within past 24 months.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and be punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for clients.
• Follow care plans and agency policies.
• Document services provided accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Monitor and report changes in client condition

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients

  Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of PCA, caregiver, home health aide, or related healthcare experience required

  • Must own a reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance

  • Ability to travel and work in:

    • New Haven

    • Branford

    • Guilford

    • Madison

  • Negative TB test result within the past 24 months required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism
