Job summary

Erickson Senior Living Ashby Ponds is seeking a Personal Care Worker (M) to assist residents with daily activities, foster meaningful relationships, and support meal service. You will help organize social activities and maintain a safe, clean environment for 132-acre continuing care community in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Qualifications include PCA/HHA/CNA certification in Virginia, CPR preferred, and completion of Safe Food Handling within 30 days.

• Complete Safe Food Handling and Preparation Class within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assistance with activities of daily living.
• Promote psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationships.
• Plan and facilitate social activities for neighbourhood residents.
• Assist with menu/snack selection and support in serving to ensure adequate nutritional intake.
• Keep resident rooms and neighbourhood tidy to minimize environmental hazards.

• Compensation: $18-$20.75 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials, commensurate with experience. ($1.50/hour on weekday evenings, $2.00/hour on weekday nights, $3.00/hour on weekends for all shifts)

How you will make an impact

• Provide physical assistance with activities of daily living

• Assist with menu/snack selection and partners with the Service Associate in serving to ensure adequate nutritional intake of all residents and provide in-room dining experiences where requested
• Assure the resident’s room and neighborhood are kept tidy to minimize environmental hazards which may impact environmental safety

What you will need

• PCA, HHA, or CNA certificate in Virginia is required.
• Current CPR certification is preferred
• Complete a Safe Food Handling and Preparation Class (within 30 days of hire)
