Job summary

Advantage Home Care in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily living activities. Responsibilities include shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and providing companionship and safety assistance as needed.

You will document care activities, follow the plan of care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. A high school diploma and NM driver's license with car insurance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience or completion of a homemaking training program
• Driver's license with valid car insurance in NM
• High school diploma preferred

• Does laundry and mends clothing.
• May provide standby assistance with ambulation/toileting/bathing to insure the safety of the patient.

• Demonstrates understanding of CQI process.
• Actively participates in CQI.

Requirements

Demonstrated competency in performing housekeeping tasks and/or completion of a training program in homemaking activities.

Ability to recognize the needs of people and to maintain good relationships in dealing with them.

Experience as a homemaker.

Preferably a high school graduate.

New Mexico driver’s license and availability of a car with insurance per state requirement.
