Job Summary

As a Personal Care Aide, you'll bring kindness, patience, and consistency to every interaction. You'll provide personal care, companionship, and support to seniors — helping them live safely and comfortably, whether in our center or in their homes. Because participant needs can change throughout the day, this role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to adjust schedules as needed while continuing to provide exceptional care.

A valid driver's license is an essential requirement of this position. The role includes regular travel throughout the service area, including travel to Participant homes and appointments as needed.

This position is ideal for someone who is caring, dependable, and enjoys meaningful, hands‑on work. You'll be part of a supportive care team in a calm, people-centered environment where collaboration, compassion, and growth come first.

Compensation
  • $15.50 /hr. to start – $16.50 /hr. after 90 days
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Seventy cents per mile.
  • Eligible for Frontline Staff Incentive Plan, up to $900 paid quarterly.
Schedule

Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor. While schedules are planned in advance whenever possible, participant care needs may occasionally require schedule adjustments, early start times, weekend rotations, or changes throughout the workday.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, supervision, and companionship to seniors.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and transfers.
  • Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as needed.
  • Travel to participants' homes and accompany them to appointments when required.
  • Observe and report any changes in participant condition to the care team.
  • Document care and services accurately in Alaya Care.
  • Participate in team discussions and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Build rapport and trust through kindness, empathy, and respectful communication.
  • Adapt daily schedules based on participant needs, appointments, hospitalizations, or changes in care plans.
  • Communicate promptly with scheduling staff and the interdisciplinary team regarding participant needs and schedule updates.
  • Provide transportation assistance to participant appointments, including dialysis and specialty appointments when assigned.
  • Maintain flexibility to support changing participant care priorities while ensuring quality, safety, and exceptional service.

Everyone's journey is unique. Even if you haven't done it all, your dedication to learning and helping others is what counts. With our training, mentorship, and career development programs, we'll help you grow and succeed.

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Friendly, patient, and comfortable engaging with people from all walks of life.
  • Brings calm, consistency, and professionalism when priorities or schedules change.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative; values communication and shared success.
  • Able to follow established routines while using good judgment in daily care.
  • Comfortable adapting to changing daily schedules while maintaining exceptional participant care.
  • Communicates effectively with teammates when plans change.
  • Remains organized, dependable, and positive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Comfortable traveling throughout the service area.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire - we'll provide the training!)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with the frail or elderly population is a plus - but not required. We'll provide hands‑on training and mentoring to help you grow!
Requirements
