Job summary

Visiting Angels of North Carolina - Charlotte is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) for weekend shifts in Charlotte. Part-time with flexible schedules, you will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with daily activities, and ensure client safety.

You'll work in a supportive environment with training and development opportunities, competitive pay, and perquisites including mileage reimbursement and weekly payroll. Weekend daytime or evening shifts available.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a PCA, Caregiver, HHA or CNA with at least 6 months experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow infection-control and safety protocols.
• Friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality.
• Dependable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers.
• Guide ambulation, walker or wheelchair.
• Prepare simple, balanced meals and monitor hydration.
• Handle light housekeeping, laundry, and fall-prevention checks.
• Give timely reminders and note changes in condition for supervising nurse.
• Offer conversation, games, and escorted outings to keep minds sharp and spirits high.
• Drive or accompany clients to appointments, groceries, and community activities.
