Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors is seeking caregivers to provide in-home support in the Wilmington area. Roles include Home Health Aide, PCA, CNA duties with companionship, personal care, meal prep, and transportation.

Flexible scheduling and paid training are offered, plus mileage reimbursement and a referral program. Applicants should be at least 27, able to lift 25 pounds, have a valid driver's license and own transportation, and pass a background check.

• Must be 30+ years old for intergenerational compatibility.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with staff, clients, and families.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently; able-bodied required.
• Background check required; we will guide you through the process.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and assist with daily activities.
• Run errands like shopping and transportation.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.
• Assist with personal care tasks and fall prevention.
• Support clients with mobility and safety.

Preferred Availability:

• Monday- Friday
• Day Shift: 8 AM- 4 PM
• Evening Shift: 4 PM - 9 PM
• Overnight Shift: 8 PM - 8 AM or 9 PM - 9 AM

Job Duties:

Companionship, shopping, meal prep, pet care, minor housekeeping, personal care (eg - bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, oral care, medication reminders, fall prevention), transportation- there are many ways you can help.

Qualifications:

• Consistently demonstrate patience, empathy, reliability, and cheerful disposition.
• 30+ years old (helps with intergenerational compatibility).
• Willingness to work harmoniously with staff, clients, and clients’ families.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours. Able-bodied is a must.
• All caregivers are required to pass a background check. A fair number of people are already cleared, and we can easily help you check. If not, it's a simple process we'll walk you through.
• All caregivers must have a valid driver's license
• All caregivers must have their own car
• All caregivers must have up-to-date car insurance
• Minimum age: 27
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must have valid driver's license and vehicle
