Job summary

UR Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a per diem role to assist residents with daily personal care, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and medication support as outlined in care plans.

The position requires compassionate communication, flexibility, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety and CARES values. Starting pay is based on experience, with a range of $18.16–$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in an enriched living, adult community, similar housing environment or long term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care per care plan (grooming, hair care, shaving, nail care, oral care, dressing, bathing, toileting).
• Assist residents with administration of medications as directed.
• Follow safety guidelines and respond to safety concerns (fire, OSHA, etc.).
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork in a care setting.

Main Function

• The primary purpose of this position is to assist residents with their personal care, to include direction and assistance with grooming, hair care, shaving, nail care, oral care, dressing, bathing, toileting per resident care plan and to assist residents with administration of medications.
