Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred; ideally with 1-3 years' experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary

The Personal Care Aide is responsible for delivering services on behalf of FCC, complying with Arkansas Medicaid and FCC standards. This includes completing personal care training, maintaining certification, adhering to schedules, and documenting care and billing.

Essential Duties

1. Perform authorized non-medical tasks such as light housekeeping, personal hygiene assistance, toileting, meal prep, and safety monitoring, as instructed by supervisors.
2. Medical tasks during shifts are prohibited, including administering medication, ostomy and wound care, and injections.
3. Maintain a service log for each shift, documenting tasks performed.
4. Monitor client health and report changes to supervisors.
5. Arrive on time; communicate absences immediately.
6. Transport of clients is prohibited during shifts.
7. Communicate with supervisors about client availability and any unforeseen tasks outside the care plan.
8. Ensure a clean, safe environment for clients.
9. Respond compassionately to client needs.
10. Maintain valid certifications in Personal Care Aide and CPR/First Aid.
11. Complete additional training as assigned.
12. Own a personal vehicle with valid driver’s license and adequate insurance; maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report.
13. Maintain confidentiality and pass all background checks and drug screening.

Minimum Requirements

Additional Information

Adherence to quality assurance, HIPAA, and confidentiality policies is mandatory. The work environment is moderate noise. Job duties may change; flexibility is expected.
