Job summary

Pickering Manor is seeking a part-time Care Aide to provide compassionate support in long-term care and home settings. You will report to the Care Manager and perform personal care, meal preparation, and assist residents with daily activities while upholding resident rights and dignity.

Experience in Alzheimer's care, memory care, and ADLs is preferred. A Direct Care Worker certification (PA) and CPR certification are required. Flexible scheduling and a $3 evening differential are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care and home & community care settings.
• Knowledge of first aid and assisted living practices; familiar with ADLs and memory care.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and Alzheimer's.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to residents.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Facilitate daily activities and engage residents in meaningful tasks.
• Report to Care Manager on resident status and care needs.

As a Care Aide, you will be essential in providing compassionate support and assistance to individuals in long-term care and home settings. Reporting to the Care Manager, your core responsibilities will include personal care, meal preparation, and facilitating daily activities for residents. Your premium skills in first aid, Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities will enhance the quality of care provided. With a focus on resident rights and dignity, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe and nurturing environment for all clients. We currently have several openings for part-time employees:

• Day Shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
• Evening Shift (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.)
• Employees are paid a shift differential of $3.00 for working evenings.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should have experience in long-term care and home & community care settings and be proficient in personal care and caregiving techniques.
• Knowledge of first aid and assisted living practices and familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and memory care highly preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and Alzheimer's also desired.
• Candidates should be High School Graduates, possess a Direct Care Worker certification for Pennsylvania, and be CPR certified.
