Job summary

Home Care Evolution is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care across the Alabama service area. You will support daily living activities, assist with mobility, meal prep, and companionship in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver or in a related role preferred; training available for right candidates.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within service area.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow infection-control and safety protocols.
• Friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality.
• Dependable and detail-oriented; notices small changes that matter.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe transfers.
• Assist with mobility and exercise; guide walker/wheelchair use and ROM routines.
• Plan and prepare simple, nutritious meals; monitor hydration.
• Keep client homes safe and tidy; assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Offer companionship through conversation, activities, and escorted outings.
• Run errands and accompany clients to appointments and community activities.

What You’ll Do for Clients

• Personal Care Excellence - Provide respectful assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers.
• Mobility & Exercise - Guide ambulation, walker/wheelchair use, and therapist-directed range-of-motion routines.
• Nutritious Meal Prep - Plan and cook simple, balanced meals; monitor hydration.
• Safe & Tidy Home - Handle light housekeeping, laundry, and fall-prevention checks.
• Medication Cueing - Give timely reminders and note any changes in condition for the supervising nurse.
• Meaningful Companionship - Offer conversation, games, and escorted outings to keep minds sharp and spirits high.
• Errands & Transportation - Drive or accompany clients to appointments, groceries, and community activities.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Experience as a caregiver, HHA, or in a similar role is preferred. (training is available for the right candidate with a compassionate heart) If you're not certified, we can help you become certified through our CHHA school program.

Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
