Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking a Home Care Aide to support clients in Lagrange, IN with personalized care according to their service plan.

The role covers personal care, homemaking, companionship, and transportation to activities, appointments, and social groups. Part-time, onsite work with a flexible schedule and a pay rate of $16–$19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes preferred.
• Knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration.
• Experience with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia advantageous.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information.
• Hands-on caregiving tasks: ADLs, meal prep, light cleaning, mobility aids like Hoyer lifts.
• CPR and First Aid training desirable for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and companionship per the client’s service plan.
• Assist with dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility as needed.
• Perform homemaking tasks: laundry, dishes, cleaning, and laundry.
• Offer companionship through letter writing, reading mail, socializing, and activities.
• Transport client to activities outside the home, such as errands and appointments.

Job Description

The Home Care Aide will provide a client with assistance and companionship according to their service plan.

Personal Care Services:

• Dressing & Groming
• Medication reminders
• Cooking/food prep
• Feeding
• Assistance with sitting, standing, & laying down

Homemaking Services:

• Laundry
• Dishes
• Dusting
• Vacuuming
• Mopping
• Sweeping
• Bathrooms

Companion Care Services:

• Daily activities such as puzzles, painting, & exercise

Transportation Services:

Experience:

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration.
• Experience providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is advantageous.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information.
• Hands-on experience with caregiving tasks such as assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, light cleaning, and use of mobility aids like Hoyer lifts.
• Training or certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Previous work involving home health or hospice care provides valuable insight into compassionate patient support across diverse settings.
