This role includes assistance with activities of daily living, medication reminders, social engagement, and creating a warm, positive experience for every resident.What You'll DoProvide personal care and support services in accordance with resident service plans.Promote resident dignity, independence, privacy, choice, and individuality in every interaction.Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility support as assigned.Provide medication reminders and assist with treatments as permitted by state regulations and community policies.Respond promptly and professionally to resident emergency call systems.Build meaningful relationships with residents and encourage participation in community activities and events.Support residents during meals and assist with dining services as needed.Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.Monitor and report changes in resident health, preferences, behaviors, or service needs.Follow established safety procedures, infection control protocols, and emergency response guidelines.Document care and observations accurately and communicate effectively with team members.Participate in resident-centered activities that promote engagement, socialization, and overall wellness.Perform other duties as assigned to support our residents and community.What Makes You a Great FitA genuine passion for serving seniors and enhancing their quality of life.A caring, patient, and compassionate approach to resident care.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently while also contributing as a supportive team member.Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or emergency situations.Commitment to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for residents and their families.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.High school diploma or GED preferred.Previous experience providing personal care or working with seniors is preferred.Must meet all required training and continuing education requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.General understanding of senior care and aging-related needs.Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, and assist residents throughout the shift.Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift more with assistance when appropriate.Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transfers.Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.Why Join The Retreat at Carrollton?At The Retreat at Carrollton, you are more than a caregiver, you're a trusted companion, advocate, and essential part of our residents' daily lives.
