Job summary

Citi in New York is seeking a Personal Banker SAFE Act at entry level to assist in executing sales, products, or service activities with the customer service team. You will foster relationships with customers to build loyalty and help increase sales to individual consumer clients.

The role supports cross-selling and coaching, handling inquiries across channels, and ensuring compliance with Citi policies and risk management.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in banking or sales.
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with business credit requests under $250K and refer larger lending opportunities.
• Build referral business through COIs and MGM program.
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client base and implement sales plans.
• Deliver client services via outbound/inbound calls to acquire and deepen relationships.
• Coach branch staff on products and programs, identifying needs and referrals.
• Educate clients on service channels and present product offers and financial solutions.
• Understand and comply with Citi policies, standards and procedures.
• Assess risk in decisions and escalate control issues with transparency.
