Job Overview

The Personal Banker SAFE Act is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in sales, product, or service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The role's primary objective is to foster customer relationships to build loyalty and increase sales to individual consumer clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Handle business credit requests under $250K, recognize and refer larger lending opportunities, and cross-sell treasury and small business products.
  2. Create referral opportunities via Centers of Influence (COIs) and the Member Get Member (MGM) Program.
  3. Implement strategies to grow the small business client base and execute sales plans targeting the Book of Business customers.
  4. Conduct outbound and inbound calls to acquire new clients and deepen existing relationships through cross-selling relevant products and services, delivering exceptional client experiences.
  5. Coach branch staff on products, programs, client needs, and appropriate referrals.
  6. Identify client transaction needs, educate on services and digital channels, utilize technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities, and present financial solutions.
  7. Ensure compliance with Citibank policies, standards, and procedures.
  8. Assess risk appropriately in business decisions, uphold the firm's reputation, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, demonstrating ethical judgment and transparency in reporting control issues.
Qualifications
  1. 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  2. Preferred experience in banking, retail, or sales.
  3. Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
  4. NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Availability to work on Saturdays.
Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
