Position Overview

As a Personal Banker, you will strengthen customer relationships with a defined sales process. You will spend most of your time engaging customers in sales conversations to identify appropriate financial solutions. This position, within PNC's Retail Branch Banking Network, is based in Birmingham, AL at the One Federal branch.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Acquire and deepen the branch customer base through proactive sales and service activities, managing the customer experience to improve financial wellbeing, and collaborating with partners to grow customer share of wallet.
  2. Drive proactive sales conversations via internal and outbound interactions, including calling, service-to-sales, teller interactions, appointments, and lobby engagement, to elevate client loyalty and identify solutions.
  3. Create customer loyalty and increase wallet share through differentiated experiences, lobby activities, and educating customers on managing transactions using technology and resources.
  4. Apply product knowledge to resolve customer issues effectively, enhancing loyalty.
  5. Manage risk by adhering to policies and procedures, demonstrating sound judgment, and ensuring efficient branch operations.

  • Core competencies: Banking Products, Digital Awareness, Communication, Multitasking, Problem Solving, Prospecting, Retail Lending, Needs Assessment
  • Work experience: Typically 3+ years with an Associate degree or equivalent; comparable education and experience may be considered.
  • Education: No Degree required
  • Certifications: None required
  • Licenses: Subject to background checks as per regulations
