Job summary

Westerra Credit Union in Lafayette, CO is opening a brand-new branch and seeks a Personal Banker to deliver exceptional member service through consultative conversations, balance transactions, and guidance on our digital tools.

You will build relationships, aim to meet monthly sales goals, stay knowledgeable about Westerra products, and participate in community events. This full-time, in-branch role is Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays and requires the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Qualifications

  • FSR I: 2+ years in consumer lending or consultative sales.
  • FSR II: 4+ years in consumer lending or consultative sales, with 2+ years in financial services.
  • FSR III: 6+ years in consumer lending or consultative sales/service, with 3+ years in financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow relationships with members by asking questions to learn about their financial needs, goals, and how Westerra can help them.
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed monthly sales goals while maintaining stellar service and member experience.
  • Educate members on products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, ATM, and other offerings.
  • Responsibilities include outbound calling campaigns to drive sales and retain members.
  • Assist members with transactional needs per established processes and service standards.

Whatisthe role?

The FSR role is primarily responsible for providing exceptional member service through a consultative approach by engaging our members in solutions-based conversations. This position is a relationship building role with a blend of financial transactions performed on the teller-line, coaching members through our digital lens, and further deepening relationships with account servicing and originating all of Westerra’s consumer loan products.

Whatwillbeexpectedof me?
  • Build and grow relationships with members by asking questions to learn about their financial needs, understanding their goals, and sharing how Westerra can help them by following up through proactive outreach, phone or in-person visits
  • Consistently meets and/or exceeds monthly sales goals while maintaining stellar service and member experience levels.
  • Maintains knowledge of products and services and educates members on emerging technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, ATM and other offerings.
  • Recognizes opportunities to save members money and presents solutions to the member.
  • Responsible for outbound calling campaigns to drive sales as well as retain members.
  • As needed, will assist members with transactional needs according to established processes and service standards, including answering member inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Represents Westerra at community and business development events
  • Adheres to all Westerra policies and procedures and Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union.
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality
  • Obtains NMLS (National Mortgage Licensing System) registration within 30 days of hire
  • Obtains and maintains notary public certification within six months of employment (if not already certified) to perform notarial acts such as verifying signatures, administering oaths, and certifying documents
  • Other duties as assigned.
What amI bringing?
Experience/Education:
  • FSR I: Minimum of 2 years' experience in consumer lending and/or consultative sales
  • FSR II: Minimum of 4 years' experience in consumer lending and/or consultative sales, with at least 2 of those years in a financial services role
  • FSR III: Minimum of 6 years' experience in consumer lending and/or consultative sales/service, with at least 3 of those years in a financial services role

Salary : in addition to the starting hourly rate, this position is eligible for a monthly incentive program and Westerra’s self-funding annual reward plan.

  • FSR I: Starting at $23/hour
  • FSR II: Starting at $25/hour
  • FSR III: Starting at $27/hour

  • Mon-Fri: On location in the branch (Saturdays on rotation)
  • Occasionally: Off-site at business development or community events; may require weekend and/or evening shifts offset by branch schedule
