Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, high school equivalency or currently attending high school.
• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Able to work well with co-workers in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, in a high volume sales environment.
• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Follow established policies in accordance with bank and supervisor direction.
• Aim for monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Participate in an active sales environment that may include in-store aisle prospecting.
• Process deposits and pay out funds accurately and balance each day’s operations.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and check endorsements.
• Inspect cash to guard against counterfeit checks and IDs.
• Enter transactions into computer and issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier’s checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Serve a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Perform other tasks requested by supervisors.
