What The Role Is

As a Personal Banker, you will provide exceptional service by processing routine banking transactions, developing deep customer relationships, and understanding their needs. You will identify and recommend suitable personal and business financial products, educate customers on alternative transaction channels, and assist clients with a variety of needs within a universal banking model.

How You will Make an Impact

  • Support banking transactions and identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
  • Open and process consumer and small business deposit accounts, offering solutions for cash flow management.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, engaging with teammates and customers frequently.
  • Assist with simple consumer lending products such as personal loans and credit cards.
  • Educate customers on bank channels like online and mobile banking, interactive tellers, and ATMs.
  • Achieve individual sales and referral goals as per the scorecard.
  • Handle cash and follow proper balancing procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers effectively.
  • Explore customer needs and recommend bank services, referring customers within or outside the branch as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant bank regulations and stay updated on regulation changes.
  • Participate in community activities and financial literacy initiatives to positively impact the community.

Who You Are

  • High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
  • Experience in banking, sales, or related industries.
  • 1+ years cash handling experience preferred; 2+ years for level II.
  • Basic knowledge of sales and service techniques in goal-oriented environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and relationship nurturing skills, even in challenging situations.
  • No S.A.F.E. registration required at employment.
  • Reliable attendance and cooperative team work.
