What The Role Is

As a Personal Banker, you will provide exceptional service by processing routine banking transactions, developing deep customer relationships, and understanding their financial needs. You will identify and offer suitable personal and business financial products and educate customers on alternative transaction channels. This position is on-site and involves cross-functional responsibilities within a universal banking model.

How You Will Make An Impact
  1. Support transactional needs and identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
  2. Open and process consumer and small business deposit accounts, offering appropriate solutions for cash flow management.
  3. Collaborate with team members and interact frequently with customers.
  4. Assist with simple consumer lending products such as personal loans and credit cards.
  5. Educate customers on bank channels like online and mobile banking, interactive tellers, and ATMs.
  6. Meet or exceed sales and referral objectives, tracked via a scorecard.
  7. Handle cash and ensure proper balancing procedures are followed.
  8. Maintain knowledge of products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers effectively.
  9. Explore customer financial needs and recommend relevant bank services or refer to appropriate departments.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable bank regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes.
  11. Participate in community activities and financial literacy initiatives to create positive community impact.
Who You Are
  1. Basic knowledge of sales and service techniques in a structured, goal-oriented environment preferred.
  2. Excellent communication skills, capable of solving problems and nurturing relationships even in challenging situations.
Education
  • High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
Experience
  • Previous banking or sales experience in related industries preferred.
  • At least 2 years of cash handling experience in banking or retail is preferred.
Characteristics
  • Reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
