Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation is seeking Personal Bankers who build trusted relationships and tailor financial solutions for customers. You will convert routine transactions into cross-sell opportunities by asking personalized questions and providing product recommendations.

In addition to meeting daily sales metrics, you will handle transactions, branch duties, and maintain compliance while delivering exceptional service across community banking with weekends and some evenings expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail or customer-facing experience with product recommendations and sales.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Strong product knowledge and ability to build on customers' needs.
• Attention to detail in completing documents or explaining features and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Create sales opportunities by calling leads, visiting businesses to offer workplace banking, and developing referral networks.
• Achieve daily key performance metrics while balancing competing priorities.
• Perform processes such as transactions, cash drawer management, and bank documentation in accordance with industry and legal standards.
• Complete other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of retail or customer‑facing experience that involved product recommendations and sales.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Strong product knowledge, conversational skills, and ability to build upon customers’ needs.
• Attention to detail in completing documents or explaining features and benefits.
• Positive image, compelling communication style, and problem‑solving mindset.

Compensation

Targeted hourly pay: $20–$21 per hour. Annual salary range: $38,916 – $57,244.
