Job description

Position Summary:

The Personal Banker builds and maintains strong customer relationships. They provide exceptional service, process transactions, assist customers with account requests, cross-sell other bank services, and refer customers to other departments as appropriate. The primary focus of this role is to be a sales leader behind the teller line.

Hours: Full Time (40 hours), Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 5:30 PM
Essential Functions:
  1. Embrace the Union Bank culture by delivering high-quality customer service and professionalism.
  2. Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
  3. Assist customers with account requests.
  4. Proactively build customer relationships to uncover account and lending needs.
  5. Support and lead by example, helping the branch achieve management-set goals.
  6. Stay informed about products, fees, policies, and current offerings for effective product suggestions.
  7. Research and resolve customer questions and concerns promptly.
  8. Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and meetings for continuous growth.
  9. Ensure compliance with all bank regulations related to assigned responsibilities.
  10. Adhere to bank policies, laws, and regulations; complete required compliance training.
  11. Report any compliance issues or violations as per bank policies.
  12. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Previous banking and/or sales experience.
  • Proven ability in cross-selling bank products, services, and referrals.
  • Basic math, computer skills, and customer service experience preferred.
Working Environment:
  • Indoor setting, not exposed to outdoor hazards.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional sedentary work lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
