Job description

Position Summary:

Under occasional supervision, services customers through opening and updating accounts, selling and cross-selling bank products and services. Work requires performing teller duties when needed. The role involves handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, adhering strictly to policies and procedures to maintain branch security.

Essential Functions:
  • Performs all duties related to opening, processing, and updating customer transaction accounts.
  • Provides excellent customer service by assisting, responding to, and resolving inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Uses opportunities to promote the bank and sell or cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Generates and maintains files, records, and reports.
  • Maintains branch safe deposit boxes and records.
  • Serves as a back-up teller and performs teller duties when required.
  • Assists branch officer with operations, reports, and projects.
  • Attends meetings and training as required.
  • Adheres to SAFE Act requirements when acting as an (MLO) mortgage loan originator, if applicable.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):
  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Basic knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED and 6-12 months of banking experience as a Teller or Personal Banker, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Physical Requirements:

Requires frequent sitting, handling, talking, and hearing. Occasionally standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements include close vision and color recognition.
