We are seeking a customer-focused individual to join our team as a Member Relationship Officer. This role involves conducting thorough financial assessments, recommending suitable products and services to meet members' immediate and future financial goals, generating leads, and maintaining strong member relationships to ensure a positive experience.

What does GTE look for in a Member Relationship Officer?
Business Development/Sales:
  • Effective negotiation, sales, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven success in prospecting, pipeline development, and closing sales.
  • Ability to identify, recommend, and sell appropriate GTE Financial products.
  • Experience in originating new members and developing retention strategies.
  • Ability to generate referrals for services such as investment, insurance, business services, and mortgages.
Experience:
  • Strong negotiation and relationship skills.
  • Experience in prospecting and moving sales opportunities forward.
  • Professional demeanor and teamwork skills.
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Managing salesfloor activities and ensuring member needs are met.
  • Gathering and analyzing information to educate members and provide solutions.
  • Deciding on loan applications with sound judgment.
  • Adhering to compliance, security, and audit procedures.
  • Identifying risks and potential fraudulent activities.
  • Developing community relationships and conducting member financial transactions.
  • Handling mortgage processes and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Participating in ongoing education and training.
  • Understanding relevant federal laws and qualifying for NMLS registration.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the financial industry or related field.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Position Details:
  • Location: Community Financial Center
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Full-time hours required, with additional hours as needed.
