GENERAL FUNCTION:

Selected candidates are intended to become a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4-8 week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. There will be a certification at the conclusion of the program to demonstrate skills necessary to perform successfully within the Retail Personal Banker role. This is a sales position focused on sales development and relationship building through promoting deposits, loans, fee-based services, and customer retention. Responsibilities include selling a full range of banking products, providing specialized service, and utilizing consultative sales processes.

The role involves risk management by following policies, ensuring a positive customer experience, and identifying, assessing, and managing risks effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
  2. Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions using our value proposition.
  3. Use CAMP and other approved tools to reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
  4. Focus on cross-selling to existing customers and outside sales activities like presentations, calls, and community events.
  5. Build relationships with Business Partners and refer customers for holistic solutions.
  6. Meet/exceed customer experience and sales goals, contributing to revenue growth.
  7. Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
  8. Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism and a helpful demeanor.
  9. Handle customer questions confidently and own customer issues.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and policies.
  11. Participate in loan and bankcard processes from application to closing.
  12. Assist with opening/closing the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
  13. Stay updated on procedures to mitigate fraud and risk.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • College degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Ability to develop comfort with sales activities and cross-selling.
  • Understanding of advanced math for credit and financial analysis.
  • Professional appearance and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Retail policies and sound judgment.
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Standard office environment.
  • Extended computer screen viewing.
  • Travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility.
  • Travel outside the affiliate for training sessions.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary ranging from $41,600 to $66,600 annually, based on role, skills, experience, education, and location.
