GENERAL FUNCTION:

Selected candidates will complete a 4-8 week onboarding and education program, including rotations in operations and Sales & Service. Upon completion, a certification will be awarded to demonstrate the skills necessary for a Retail Personal Banker I role. This position focuses on using a consultative sales process to identify and meet customers' financial needs, aiming to acquire new households and deepen existing relationships through various activities such as lobby leadership, aisle time, and tele-consulting. The role involves processing teller transactions and working as part of the platform staff.

Responsible and accountable for risk, following policies and procedures, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The role requires managing risks effectively within the bank's risk appetite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Utilize marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
  • Focus on cross-selling to existing customers and engaging in outside sales activities.
  • Establish relationships with Business Partners and refer customers for holistic financial solutions.
  • Meet/exceed customer experience and sales goals, contributing to revenue growth.
  • Guide Customer Service Representatives in sales and referral processes.
  • Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism and helpfulness.
  • Own customer issues and answer questions confidently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and policies.
  • Participate in loan and bankcard processes from application to closing.
  • Assist in opening/closing the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
  • Stay updated on procedures to mitigate fraud and risk.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • College degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Ability to develop comfort with sales activities and cross-selling.
  • Understanding of advanced math for credit and financial analysis.
  • Professional appearance and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Retail policies and sound judgment.
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at employment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Extended computer use.
  • Travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility, including outside travel for classroom sessions.

Salary Range: $41,600 - $66,600 USD annually
