Job summary

MidFirst Bank in Sugar Land, TX seeks a Personal Banker Associate who blends teller responsibilities with personal banking duties. You will process transactions, open deposit accounts, and promote bank products while delivering high-quality service.

You will build relationships with customers, generate referrals, and support banking center staff. A notary or willingness to obtain one is required; weekend availability is expected and adherence to internal controls is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year successful sales experience in an incentive-driven or relational selling environment.
• Minimum 6 months of cash handling, processing of transactional payments, and/or point of sale experience in a retail sales or service environment and/or previous banking experience
• Ability to generate referrals including making on-site visits with local businesses
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and with customers.
• Strong work ethic and high integrity
• Proficient with all Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
• Friendly, outgoing, assertive, confident, and enthusiastic personality
• Must have a current Notary or be willing to become one (pursue application, bond and notary seal) at the Bank’s expense

The Personal Banker Associate has responsibilities as both a Teller and a Personal Banker. The Personal Banker Associate must efficiently process a variety of customer transactions, generate business and deepen relationships by promoting products and services to potential and existing customers. Responsibilities include providing high quality customer service while achieving sales goals and supporting banking center staff as needed.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires long periods of standing or sitting as well as typing and repetitive motion. Candidates must possess the ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing as much as 25 pounds.

MidFirst Banking Center Hours of Operation:

• Standard Hours:Monday - Fridayfrom 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Shift differential is available for certain hours - $5/hr for Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday's from 12:00 p.m. - 1:0  p.m.
• Candidates must be available to work weekend hours.
