Provide excellent customer care regarding daily transactions, inquiries, and problem resolution, adhering to Fifth Third Bank policies. Refer customers to appropriate business partners for products and services during interactions. This role requires travel to various Financial Centers within the market.

Be responsible for risk management by sharing ideas, raising concerns, and following policies. Always prioritize doing the right thing for customers and colleagues to ensure a positive experience. Identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks while achieving results within the bank’s risk appetite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Deliver a superior customer experience by providing friendly, can-do attitude, and helpful service.
  2. Build rapport with customers and understand account ownership.
  3. Answer questions confidently and find solutions to customer issues.
  4. Respond promptly to correspondence and resolve problems efficiently.
  5. Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  6. Follow the Bank’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related policies.
  7. Perform daily office tasks, working with the platform team for smooth operations.
  8. Maintain balanced records and correct outages as needed.
  9. Stay updated on bank policies and procedures.
  10. Handle customer problems professionally, escalating complex issues appropriately.
  11. Exercise sound judgment within established guidelines.
  12. Meet or exceed sales referral goals.
  13. Participate actively in meetings and team activities.
  14. Maintain knowledge of retail products and services, seeking further development as needed.
  15. Identify customer needs and refer them to business partners for cross-selling opportunities.
  16. Use tools to track and monitor referral progress and fulfillment.
  17. Regularly review referral tools and dashboards for updates.
  18. Enhance skills through self-motivation, education, seminars, and training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Experience with cash handling and strong math skills.
  3. Professional appearance and confident interaction with the public.
  4. Good communication skills in oral and written forms.
  5. At least 2 years of CSR experience with knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
  6. Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and tactful problem-solving.
  7. Team player with positive interaction skills.
  8. Flexible scheduling availability.
  9. SAFE Act registration via NMLS required at employment start.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard office environment.
  • Extended computer screen viewing.
  • Travel required.
