Requirements

• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred
• Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma, high school equivalency, or currently attending high school
• At least 18 years of age
• Successful passing of background investigation according to company policy

Job Description

Under immediate supervision, provides exceptional customer service involving receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume sales environment. Responsibilities include:

1. Following established policies per bank and supervisor directives
2. Achieving monthly new account production goals
3. Processing deposits and payouts accurately, balancing daily transactions
4. Receiving cash and checks, verifying amounts, and endorsing checks
5. Examining cash to prevent counterfeit acceptance
6. Entering transactions and issuing receipts
7. Selling and preparing money orders, cashier's checks, wires, bonds, travelers' checks, and CDs
8. Processing Western Union wires and cash advances
9. Cross-selling bank services and products
10. Serving a diverse customer base, including Spanish speakers
11. Performing additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Standing or walking for extended periods
• Working in a high-volume, stressful, noisy environment
• Operating computers and office machinery
• Lifting up to 25 lbs
