Summary

Personal Bankers are charged with providing excellent customer service while identifying sales opportunities and performing account transactions. The Personal Banker is responsible for the consistent execution of the consumer-based and business relationship building efforts of a full-service banking center. The role focuses on daily sales initiatives, proactive customer interaction, and service, including in-person and phone discussions, outbound calls for onboarding, prospecting, and cross-selling. The Personal Banker also supports community engagement and outside sales activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Model the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge standards.
• Assess clients' financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Meet and exceed sales goals for loans, deposits, referrals, and profitability.
• Promote a sales culture and demonstrate strong selling and cross-selling abilities.
• Collaborate effectively with staff and peers to meet goals.
• Monitor performance and adjust strategies to meet banking center goals.
• Engage in outbound calling and cross-selling activities.
• Support community growth through promotion of bank products.
• Ensure operational compliance, support daily banking center functions, and maintain security controls.
• Participate in regular sales and staff meetings.
• Provide customer service and resolve banking issues professionally.
• Build relationships with internal partners and maintain confidentiality.
• Support team efforts in customer service and other assigned duties.

Other Skills and Requirements

Proficiency in bank policies, regulations, compliance training, and the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration is required. Skills include Microsoft Outlook 365, banking software, consumer lending, relationship building, and communication. Ability to interpret instructions, organize, multi-task, and lift up to 25 lbs. Availability for all operational hours is necessary. A high school diploma is required; banking, cash handling, sales, customer service experience, and leadership skills are preferred.
