Job summary

Wells Fargo is seeking a customer-focused Banking Support Specialist to provide personalized banking assistance across multiple branch locations in Texas. You will connect customers with banking products, support account openings and credit applications, handle cash, and use digital tools while maintaining strict risk controls.

Job description

• Provide personalized banking support across multiple branch locations within an assigned geographic area
• Cover banker and teller absences and temporarily fill open positions as needed
• Adapt to new branch environments, teams, and customer needs
• Build customer relationships through proactive conversations and outreach
• Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs
• Connect customers with relevant banking products, services, and solutions
• Drive branch growth through opportunity identification, solution promotion, and referrals
• Support account openings, service requests, and credit applications
• Perform cash handling and teller line activities while maintaining compliance
• Use digital tools and technologies to enhance customer experience
• Deliver accurate, compliant service within defined risk controls
• Coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers and specialists

Requirements

• 6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Ability to travel 100% of the time within assigned geography
• Ability to commute to assigned branch locations for the duration of assignments
• Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after start date
• Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
• Must comply with Wells Fargo policies related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
• Credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
• Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
• Prior financial services or highly regulated customer-facing experience
• Experience building trust-based customer relationships
• Comfort initiating customer outreach through calls, emails, or other channels
• Comfort using digital tools and technology and learning new systems
• Ability to identify customer needs and connect them to appropriate solutions
• Ability to collaborate with teammates and partners
• Ability to follow policies and regulations and escalate risk concerns
