Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Open various new accounts and educate customers on services/products available (e.g., Visa check card, online banking, ATM).
  • Assist with a wide range of customer services including CDs, safe deposit boxes, checks, credit card/loan apps, wires, fraud issues, notary, and account closures.
  • Explain and expedite IRA opening, transfer, and rollover processes.
  • Assist customers with opening Certificates of Deposit and explain penalties and earnings.
  • Provide backup to tellers as needed.
  • Set up auto transfers and enroll customers in ACH transfers and wires.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations (BSA, Patriot Act, etc.).
  • Leverage every customer contact to promote additional services or programs.

About The Role

Our growing financial institution is seeking a Personal Banker to be an integral part of our East Wenatchee Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with a variety of banking needs. The pay range for this postion is: $19.60 to $29.41 per hour.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Open various new accounts, process necessary information and educate the customers as to services/products available as a result. (For example, Visa check card, online banking, automated teller, etc.)
  2. Assist with wide variety of customer services including open/close Shared Certificates, maintain Safe Deposit Boxes, assist customers with checkbooks, process credit card/loan applications for customer, manages outgoing wires, solve fraud issues, notary, close accounts, etc.
  3. Explain and expedite the opening, closing, transfer, and rollover of IRA certificates.
  4. Assist customers with opening Certificate of Deposits (CD) and educate customers as to penalties, earnings, etc.
  5. Provide backup to tellers upon request.
  6. Set up auto transfers and sign up customers for ACH transfers and wires.
  7. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assentrol.
  8. Use every customer contact as an opportunity to advise customer about additional services or programs that might benefit them.
About You
QUALIFICATIONS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work environment with moderate noise.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. PTO accruals begin at .0745 per hour worked for our part time employees up to a maximum accrual of 240 hours per year for certain Full-Time employees. PTO accruals are dependent on position, status (Full time or Part time), and years of experience in accordance with our PTO policy. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
