Job summary

Midwest Heritage Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to originate consumer accounts and loans, assist customers, and promote bank products. You will refer customers to insurance and investment divisions and participate in community activities while maintaining thorough product knowledge.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, solid communication and organizational skills, and experience with new accounts or consumer loans is a plus.

General Function

Originates consumer loans, opens all types of deposit accounts, and assists with maintenance as needed. Looks for opportunities to refer customers to the insurance and investment divisions. Will actively participate with community organizations and projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides friendly, efficient, and accurate assistance to internal and external customers

• Focuses on proactive behaviors to build new relationships

• Maintains knowledge of all products and services

• Leverage Salesforce to manage new and existing relationships

• Provides backup to teller line

• Reports to work when scheduled and on time

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• This position is classified sedentary/light and requires the ability to sit for long periods of time.

• Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: sitting for long periods, talking (in person and by telephone), hearing and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

• The duties of this position are normally performed in a general office setting. This is a fast paced work environment.

• There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.
