Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Events EV LLC in Miramar, FL seeks an Event Coordinator & Assistant to the Chief Event Coordinator. You’ll support the Co-Founder, organize priorities, and handle errands that keep events moving. You’ll also coordinate with DJs, musicians, and production teams to ensure every detail is ready.
You’ll work from home on planning days and travel across South Florida for site visits, with a flexible schedule and mentorship from seasoned event producers.
It’s 9:15 on a Thursday morning in Miramar. Your phone buzzes with a quick message: the florist has the centerpiece samples ready for Saturday’s wedding, and the printer just finished the welcome signs for next week’s gala. By 10:30, both are safely in your back seat. By noon, you’re standing in a Fort Lauderdale ballroom beside our Chief Event Coordinator, walking the space and sketching out where the stage will go.
That afternoon, you’re back at your laptop, confirming arrival times with a DJ, updating a run-of-show, and sending a friendly reminder to the lighting crew.
Two days later, the doors open, the music starts, and the room looks exactly the way the couple dreamed it would. You’ll know you helped make that happen.
Events EV LLC is a full-service event house in Miramar, Florida, founded by Nina Delacroix and Ernesto Valdez. We create weddings, galas, corporate experiences, musical shows, and private celebrations across South Florida, from beachfront ceremonies in Fort Lauderdale to nonprofit galas in West Palm Beach. Through Events EV Live, our production division, we also bring concerts, festival stages, and nightlife events to life.
We take on a deliberate number of events each year, because every celebration deserves to feel personal, never like a template. Our team is small, close, and proud of what we build together. Now we’re growing, and there’s room for one more.
This is a two-sided role, and that’s what makes it special.
Part of your time, you’ll be the right hand to our Co-Founder and Chief Event Coordinator, Ernesto Valdez. You’ll stay in close touch with him throughout the week, keep his priorities organized, and handle the errands and on-the-ground tasks that keep our events moving.
The rest of your time, you’ll coordinate with the DJs, musicians, stage crews, and production teams who bring our events to life, making sure everyone has what they need and knows exactly where to be.
You’ll work from home on planning days and head out across South Florida on errand and site-visit days. Most weeks bring a little of both, and that variety is part of the fun.
We truly mean it: no prior event experience is required. Some of the best people we’ve worked with started out in retail, restaurants, hotels, customer service, or teaching, and a few came straight out of school. What they shared was an instinct for looking after people and a quiet pride in getting the little things right.
If you’re the friend who plans the group trip, never forgets a birthday, and always knows where the spare keys are, you might already be great at this. We’ll teach you everything else.
You’ll check in with Ernesto regularly by phone, video, and email, keeping track of tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups.
You’ll run event-related errands across South Florida, such as picking up décor samples, signage, printed materials, and supplies, or delivering items to venues ahead of an event.
You’ll join venue walkthroughs and vendor meetings, taking notes and making sure next steps never get lost.
You’ll help keep his calendar, documents, and event files organized, so he can stay focused on the big picture.
You’ll help schedule DJs, musicians, stage crews, and production teams, confirming availability, arrival times, and event needs.
You’ll build and update event timelines, run-of-show documents, and day‑of checklists, so everyone is working from the same page.
You’ll be a friendly point of contact for our talent, answering questions and sending reminders so nothing slips through the cracks.
You’ll keep records tidy, including talent details, event notes, and vendor invoices, and you’ll track payment schedules in our company system so our finance team can pay everyone accurately and on time.
You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day, and you won’t be on the road all day either. You’ll learn the event business from the inside, working directly with one of our founders. You’ll see how a celebration grows from a first phone call into a night people remember for years. And every so often, you’ll get to stand at the back of a room full of happy guests and think, “I helped build this.”
During your first few weeks, you’ll receive paid, hands‑on training. You’ll shadow Ernesto and our event managers, learn our tools and processes, and watch how an event comes together from first call to final dance.
In your second month, you’ll begin handling errands, talent communication, and pieces of event coordination on your own, with guidance whenever you need it.
By your third month, you’ll be a trusted part of the team, running your week with confidence and knowing we’re always right behind you.
We’ll also provide a company laptop and phone for work, at no cost to you.
A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, a reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
To live within comfortable driving distance of Miramar, since errands and site visits take you across Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.
Flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends during busy event weeks, with schedules shared well in advance.
You’re a warm, clear communicator, the kind of person whose messages people actually enjoy reading.
You’re organized and dependable. When you say it’ll be done, it gets done.
You stay calm when plans shift, because in events they always do a little, and you meet that with patience and a smile.
You’re comfortable on a computer and happy to learn tools like Google Workspace and scheduling software.
You love music, celebrations, and that moment when a room comes alive. You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to care.
A salary of $46,000 to $56,000 per year, based on the strengths you bring.
A full‑time, hybrid role that blends work from home with time out in the field.
Mileage reimbursement for work driving at the standard IRS rate.
A company card for approved errand expenses, so work purchases never come out of your pocket.
A company laptop and phone, provided at no cost to you.
Paid training and genuine mentorship from people who have spent years producing events.
Room to grow, with a real path toward leading events of your own.
All payments and purchases are handled through company systems and a company card, so you’ll never deposit checks, use your personal funds, buy gift cards, or reship packages for us. If anyone claiming to represent Events EV ever asks you for money or banking information, please don’t respond, and contact us directly at info@eventsevllc.com.
