Job summary

Love To Code Academy seeks a The Guide for 3rd–5th graders at the Contributor stage. You’ll run after-school coding and robotics sessions, balancing clarity with energy to foster persistence, commitment, integrity, and sportsmanship.

In this role you’ll lead structured sessions through Engage, Build, Challenge, Reflect; support students as they tackle challenges; track belt progress and share growth notes with the Lead Coach and families.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in coaching or mentoring children in grades 3–5.
• Ability to structure sessions and manage group dynamics while maintaining a positive, encouraging environment.
• Comfort with basic coding and robotics concepts and guiding students through hands-on projects.

Responsibilities

• Hold the line on productive difficulty to protect productive struggle.
• Lead structured sessions through Engage, Build, Challenge, Reflect.
• Coach integrity and ownership by naming character traits in real time.
• Navigate group dynamics and foster sportsmanship during collaborative activities.
• Advance students through Orange and Green belt progress, balancing skill with character readiness.
• Document student growth and share progress notes with the Lead Coach and parents.
