Job summary

Tandem PV is seeking a hands-on R&D technician to help push forward perovskite solar module deposition in our Fremont lab. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to plan and execute experiments that improve efficiency and durability while supporting a transition to our pilot manufacturing facility.

The role features a Noon–8pm schedule with an initial 8–5 training sequence over the first 3–4 weeks, and a culture focused on curiosity, collaboration, and delivering quality results.

Qualifications

• Work experience that shows you are willing to push projects forward and work as a team to accomplish goals.
• Work in a scientific or engineering related industry. Experience with solution processing of semiconductor thin films would be ideal but is not a requirement.
• Hands-on laboratory experience is a plus.
• Able to take detailed and meticulous notes of processing conditions and observations when running experiments and processes.
• Driven to accomplish tasks toward producing solar modules and progressing as a larger team to make high-performing and durable perovskite modules.

Responsibilities

• Execute and develop thin-film solution deposition processes for perovskite solar modules.
• Interface with engineers and technicians across teams to develop and execute experimental plans that advance performance and durability.
