Position Overview

This position will work in our Development team and lead the permitting process for utility-scale solar and BESS projects across the U.S. The Permitting Manager will ensure projects progress smoothly through regulatory milestones, supporting our mission of delivering impactful clean energy solutions. The role reports to the Sr. Director of Development. The candidate can be based remotely in the U.S., with periodic travel to project sites, permitting authorities, stakeholders, and our Bay Area headquarters.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and lead permitting strategies from early-stage development through construction for solar PV and energy storage projects.
• Implement permitting procedures aligned with project timelines and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local authorities to obtain necessary approvals.
• Manage relationships with external consultants, legal advisors, and environmental experts.
• Represent Adapture Renewables at public hearings, stakeholder meetings, and regulatory briefings.
• Collaborate with Development, Engineering, and Legal teams to integrate permitting workflows.
• Maintain all permitting documentation, applications, approvals, and mitigation requirements.
• Monitor policy and regulatory changes affecting permitting processes.
• Identify permitting risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
