Job summary

Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a Permitting Specialist to own surface permitting across our Appalachian Basin operations. You will independently prepare and submit permit applications, work directly with regulatory agencies to keep projects on track, and lead permitting efforts for assigned projects.

You will partner with engineering, surface operations, regulatory, and environmental teams to ensure complete, accurate packages and timely approvals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in oil and gas permitting, operations or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas surface permitting processes and applicable regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret plats, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare and submit permit applications for oil and gas activities.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to clarify requirements and secure approvals.
• Review regulations to ensure compliance across applications.
• Maintain permit logs, track timelines, and report status to operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, surface operations, regulatory, and environmental staff.
• Participate in pre-application meetings with agencies to streamline processes.
• Research and resolve moderately complex permitting issues.
• Ensure timely renewal, amendment, or closure of permits.
• Provide training to junior permitting staff on procedures.
• Serve as permitting lead for assigned projects and report to asset development leadership.
