Job summary

Generator Supercenter is seeking a Permit Technician to assist with permit applications, building inspections, contractor licenses, and certificates of occupancy. You will deliver excellent customer service and help keep permitting records organized.

The role requires knowledge of permitting policies and city codes, strong math for fees and taxes, and the ability to work independently while supporting a team.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• May assist with training new technicians.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of permitting policies and procedures
• General knowledge of Commerce City building codes
• Ability to read, understand, and convey information to the general public concerning permitting procedures and policies
• Basic mathematical skills to accurately count change and to calculate fees and tax rates
• Ability to deal with difficult citizens using effective confrontational and problem solving skills
• Ability to organize tasks and working environment in order to maximize efficiency with attention to customer service
