The City of Hollywood, Florida is seeking a Permit Technician to manage the building permit intake and issuance process with a focus on accuracy and timely service. You will assist the public and business community, review applications, compute fees, and ensure compliance with State, County and City codes.

Essential duties include interpreting regulations, scheduling inspections, and maintaining permit records using the city’s permitting system and office equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of administrative/customer service experience in permitting.
• Notary Public Certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.

Responsabilités

• Assist with intake and issuance of building permits and related documents.
• Compute permit fees and verify required documentation for completeness.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to the public and contractors.
• Schedule inspections and coordinate with Plan Examiners as needed.
• Maintain and file permit records and operate standard office equipment.
