Vertex Education is seeking a Permanent Substitute Teacher to join Legacy Traditional Schools in the Goodyear area, supporting a diversified set of subjects and student development.

You will create welcoming learning environments, implement proven curricula, and collaborate with families to monitor progress while participating in activities beyond the standard schedule.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in education and a current substitute teaching certificate.
• Background check requirements vary by state (local and national checks).

Responsabilidades

• Create a classroom and safe environment that cultivates learning and allows students to perform at their best.
• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities supporting social, physical and intellectual growth.
• Provide side-by-side support to address individual learning needs and tailor strategies to each student.
• Master the curriculum and apply teaching practices to meet curriculum goals.
• Encourage students to uphold values and demonstrate good character and social skills.
• Evaluate and share student progress with parents/guardians and coordinate with support staff.
• Participate in events outside normal hours and be active on campus and across campuses as required.

As a Permanent Substitute Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you serve in a variety of teaching positions across a set of diversified subjects such as Spalding reading and writing, science, social studies and enVision math. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom and safe environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students and allows them to perform at their very best.
• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success!
• Explore individual needs and give side‑by‑side support to discover how each student best learns and develop personalized solutions to each students’ learning style and abilities.
• Master our proven curriculum as you implement our philosophy of education and guide the learning process and students toward the achievement of the curriculum goals using a variety of best practices and teaching strategies.
• Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior, good character and social skills in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
• Evaluate and celebrate student academic performance as you share and involve parents/guardians in the student’s progress and accomplishments and ensure the support staff are set up for success to support the students.
• Participating in events outside of normal hours.
• Being active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.

Qualifications

• Holding a bachelor’s degree in education, a current substitute teaching certificate from the state the position is located, and pass a criminal history background check.
• Depending on the state to which you are applying, background check requirements may vary. Including but not limited to state and national criminal history background check.
