Permanent Full-Time Bus Drivers - Willoughby

Do you hold a medium rigid (MR) licence or above? We offer a 4-week paid driver training program that will build on your current heavy vehicle skills and knowledge to navigate the roads as a professional Bus Driver.

About the role

We currently have multiple positions available for Full Time Permanent Bus Drivers at our Willoughby depot. We are looking for passionate people who enjoy driving and want to service their community, whilst delivering the best experience possible to our customers.

A little bit about our rates!

• Permanent: $32.37 per hour Weekday (shift loadings – range dependant on times of operation throughout the shift)
• $48.55 (Sat), $64.74 (Sun), $80.92 (PH)
• $18.78 attendance allowance paid daily

About us

For over 80 years, we’ve delivered a professional, reliable standard of service. We currently operate bus service contracts for Transport for NSW in Western Sydney, North Shore and West, Central Coast and North Coast, and the South Australian Public Transport Authority in Adelaide’s Outer South.

With a team of more than 2,800 people, committed to transporting over 53.7 million passenger journeys each year, we pride ourselves on taking a proactive approach to public transport delivery to ensure that the customer journey is seamless as possible.

Hours of work

Our drivers must be willing and flexible to work various shifts, that may include weekends, early morning, and late-night shifts.

A large portion of shifts available for full-time drivers are worked as split shifts, covering peak service times in the morning and afternoon. The hours for each shift can vary but generally include:

• Morning: 6:00 am to 10:00 am
• Afternoon: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Outside of these hours, you can leave the depot to head home or run errands, or stay at the depot and use our driver facilities.

There are also some straight shifts available, starting at varied times of the day, from morning, afternoon, or evenings.

All depots operate seven days per week, with Sunday and public holiday shifts being voluntary overtime.

Eligibility to apply

• A current and valid Medium Rigid or above driver’s licence
• A good driving history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check, and working with children check
• Having a current NSW Driver Authority is highly desired (or be willing to obtain one)
