Job summary

Berkley School District is seeking Permanent Building Substitute Teachers to support in-person learning at multiple buildings within the district. Teachers will report daily to their assigned school, deliver prepared lessons or create appropriate materials, and ensure instruction aligns with the school curriculum.

Responsibilities include maintaining student records, assigning and grading work, and communicating with families via Procare.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate preferred OR Eligible for a Daily Substitute Permit
• Substitute teaching experience preferred
• Early Childhood experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach prepared lessons or develop instructional materials aligned to the district curriculum.
• Deliver in-person instruction to students in assigned classroom during daily or extended absences.
• Maintain student records including grades and attendance; assign and grade homework and classwork.
• Utilize HighScope curriculum and Procare for family communication; follow district policies and procedures.
